ICL Fertilizers welcomes its social responsibility to the communities in which we operate - and reaches out with support and contributions.
In Israel, where we have significant operations, we are committed to the entire Negev region, including Beer Sheva, its capital. We actively invest in the area's human resources to strengthen and enrich the community. Industrial-economic-communal development is also empowered to develop management and entrepreneurial skills among our employees and suppliers.
In addition, the Board of Directors of Israel Corporation, ICL Fertilizers' parent company, and ICL have approved a significant investment in communal welfare, focused on assisting disadvantaged populations. "The Community in Israel," a national program for Israel approved by our Board, has helped create and support a network of clubs for high-risk and disadvantaged children. These clubs are operated by the Israel Ministries of Education and of Labor and Welfare. During the next five years, additional communal investments will be made to children and youth clubs in disadvantaged areas near our company's plants and subsidiaries in Israel. Each of our subsidiaries will also be involved in similar clubs in their neighborhoods, through an employee-run volunteer effort.
