The Dead Sea Works' Product Stewardship Management System for granular Potash has been audited and found to meet the IFA Protect & Sustain (PS) Standard. The level of compliance found was EXCELLENT with an amazing score - 99 points out of 100.
This result, first in the potassium industry, reflects international recognition of DSW as a responsible and sustainable company.
The assessment held on mid September 2011, reviewed the entire granular potash lifecycle, from its development stage to its end of life, with a broad view of all the company's responsibilities at each milestone: quality, safety, occupational hygiene, regulation, environment, community relations and preparedness for emergency.
The audit was performed by DNV, an external auditor appointed by IFA.
Product Stewardship is an implementation phase of the Responsible Care Policy and is a key aspect in DSW's commitment to sustainability.
The accrediting constitutes international recognition that Dead Sea Works has implemented a policy of social responsibility with a comprehensive working procedure mapping all company activities relating to the product, involving workers from all disciplines and management hierarchy.
