ICL continues to gain public recognition for the company's efforts in the sustainability field. In recent years, ICL has been measuring the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions of its Israeli and global production facilities using a process called "Corporate Carbon Footprint" quantification. The Carbon Footprint measurement process provides a full-scale, up-to-date picture of GHG emissions, and the most optimal, cost-effective means for reducing these emissions.
Over the past year ICL has begun to publicize its GHG emissions and was one of the first Israeli companies to report its emissions to the voluntary GHG emissions reporting mechanism of the Israel Ministry of Environmental Protection, for which it received an award from the Ministry (see attached). Since Israeli regulation is showing signs of progression towards mandatory reporting, ICL has created an advantage in comprehensive pre-preparation, and is actively participating in shaping the young reporting mechanism.
